House of Block Hosts Inaugural Polo Match at Ham Polo Club, London for the Digital Assets & Web3 Industry

TPX Property Exchanges rides away with the inaugural House of Block Polo Cup’

Richmond, London, under cloud-free skies and the shimmer of midsummer heat, House of Block transformed the historic grounds of Ham Polo Club into a sparkling playground for the Digital Assets & Web3 leaders innovators, investors and equestrian devotees alike. Sunshine glinted off champagne flutes, laughter mingled with the scent of freshly-cut grass, and the thrum of conversation rose against the emerald sweep of Richmond Park; a setting tailor-made for the very first House of Block Polo Cup.

A morning of ideas, a terrace alive with possibility

Guests arrived to chilled champagne on the roof-terrace, registering beneath fluttering club pennants before drifting into a VIP welcome reception. From there the agenda unfolded with effortless pace: a keynote on global AI rivalry, fireside chats on tokenization and macro-geopolitics, and round-table “talking tables” that paired heavyweight thinkers from JP Morgan, Kraken Digital Asset Exchange, Archax, ClearBank, TP ICAP and lead media BBC and Bloomberg with the next wave of Web3 founders. The intellectual charge was electric yet relaxed; think board-level insight, but in linen jackets and sunglasses.

Gastronomy meets networking

A languid grill service followed: charred summer vegetables, picanha beef, and skewers of chimichurri chicken  capped by an exotic mess with mango and passion fruit, a mess so airy it seemed to float on the afternoon breeze. Servers topped up Rose wine without fuss; business cards changed hands over iced elderflower spritzers. It was precisely the kind of human-scale networking House of Block champions; organic, curious and high-trust.

The field of play As the shadows lengthened, excitement gathered at the touchlines. Two proud House of Block sponsors, Grant Thornton and TPX Property Exchanges, trotted out beneath a burst of applause, each rider immaculate in team silks. Four fluid chukkas (quarters) followed, bursting with deft mallets, precision marking and breakneck sprints from one end of the pitch to the other. It was friendly, yes, but fiercely contested, every clearance cheered, every near miss drawing a collective intake of breath. Commentary by Matt Fincham, of Finch PR.

Halftime magicAt the mid-match whistle, the age-old polo tradition took centre stage: spectators streamed onto the turf to tread in divots and thanks to the grooms’ indulgence, stroke the sleek horses. Phones flashed, city folk peers texted envy, and the feel-good meter soared.

A champagne-soaked finale

As the final bell echoed across the park, TPX Property Exchanges emerged victorious, claiming the gleaming ‘House of Block Polo Cup’ amid cheers and camera shutters. In a gesture of pure sportsmanship, both teams rode to the grandstand to clink champagne bottles with guests before dismounting for a jubilant clubhouse reception. High-five selfies, autographed mallets and a chorus of “next year, same time!” sealed a memory that will linger long after the grass regrows.
