Metaverse Fashion Week will light up Decentraland March 28-31

Decentraland has just released its official schedule for the 2023 Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW). The virtual show will run from March 28 – 31 and feature some of the leading names from the fashion industry. 

The star-studded lineup includes fashion brands, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, COACH, adidas, DKNY, Vogue Singapore, Monnier Paris, DUNDAS, Phygicode Dress in collaboration with Rubin Singer, and others, all collaborating with the Decentraland community designers. Together, they will showcase the cutting-edge potential of digital fashion and highlight the possibilities of interoperability between open metaverses.

This year’s event, which is being spearheaded by Decentraland and UNXD, in partnership with the Spatial and OVER metaverses, promises to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of virtual fashion. Fashion enthusiasts from all over the world are invited to join in and witness the newest advancements in digital fashion.

Metaverse Fashion Week 2023 will take place in multiple metaverses, but the Fashion District in Decentraland’s Luxury District, created by the Metaverse Group, will be the main hub of activity. Here, visitors will be able to explore the virtual storefronts of renowned fashion brands and experience the very best that digital fashion has to offer.

Brands at Metaverse Fashion Week 2023

Dolce & Gabbana’s metaverse space features an exhibition of the winning designs from its Future Reward competition. Led by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the digital design competition spotlights emerging talent and supports them with the creation of a new co-branded digital Wearables collection.

Tommy Hilfiger will showcase AI-generated fashion items and release daily drops, while DKNY will feature its own art gallery, rooftop lounge, and pizza venue. Dolce & Gabbana will use the event to promote new talents in the industry, while DUNDAS plans to launch new Wearables in partnership with DressX. 

Miami Fashion Week will make its debut in the digital fashion week, and all these brands will offer runway shows, exclusive events, new NFT drops, and other exciting surprises.

In addition, Genesis City will be inspiring playing host to a dedicated show by legendary designer Vivienne Westwood.  

Adidas, a leading fashion brand in the Web3 world, will showcase its first NFT-only collection. 

Diesel and HAPE will also host an exclusive party with surprise NFT airdrops for attendees, while Vegas City will release new collectibles with Perry Ellis. Additionally, Clarks, Dragon City, The Museum District, and many others will unveil their own surprises.

Digital Designers stepping onto the catwalk

Web3 fashion brand DRESSC will debut a flagship store in the metaverse during this years fashion week. Fashion Zoo will host its first annual award show for Chinese fashion creations. Well known Web3 fashion players including Fabricant, Altr and House of Web3 will be at this years event. 

The fashion industry is certainly carving out its niche in the metaverse and wearables are sure to feature prominently in the future of fashion brands as the world moves towards hybrid business models.
