Upland Extends Partnership with NFLPA for Fourth Season

Upland, a leading Web3 gaming platform, has announced an extension of its partnership with the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) and OneTeam Partners for the upcoming 2024/25 football season.

This marks the fourth year of collaboration, a partnership that has allowed football fans to engage with the sport and players like never before through digital collectibles and immersive experiences.

The renewal comes after a highly successful 2023 season, which saw significant growth in fan interaction.

Upland’s NFLPA Legits product, a core part of the partnership, has gained popularity, with over 850,000 items owned by more than 27,000 players. The engagement within the Upland community surged, with a 43% increase in items purchased and a 72% rise in unique collectors.

As Upland gears up for the new season, the platform is introducing new features to enhance engagement. Fans can expect to collect and trade Professional Football Player Legits, participate in exclusive events, and manage digital fan shops within Upland’s ever-growing metaverse.

Upland is also rolling out new NFLPA Legits helmet models and offering exclusive physical fan wearables through community challenges.

The partnership aligns perfectly with Upland’s mission to connect fans to their favorite players and teams through its interactive, real-world mapped digital economy.

With a strong user base in the United States and growing interest internationally, Upland continues to provide football fans an opportunity to engage with the sport through virtual property ownership, digital assets, and collectible football items.

Upland’s continued innovation is supported by the NFLPA’s commitment to protecting the rights and interests of its players. Founded in 1956, the NFLPA represents professional football players and collaborates with companies like Upland to deliver unique experiences to fans, including virtual assets that commemorate player performances and game moments.

“Fans will get to experience football in a whole new way through Upland,” said Zuckerman, explaining how Upland’s digital collectibles not only offer season-long competitions but can also be worn in Upland’s metaverse, creating a truly immersive fan experience.

With its continued expansion of interactive football experiences, Upland is poised to keep fans engaged, bringing the digital world closer to the field and players they love.
