Upland airdrop winner from Brazil is newbie to the game

Tell us about your background:

“As a Brazilian, I really like football and I support Flamengo!” he says. We interviewed him about his experience in playing the Upland competition, especially as a newcomer to the Web3 game. His answers prove that anyone with interest and energy can be successful.

Cardoso had an interesting life prior to Upland which explains his huge social media following: Back in 2008, he created O’Criador as God’s profile on the internet. OCriador means, in Portuguese, The Creator.

“I am in this constant work, with this character of an ironic, sarcastic and good-humored God,” he says.

The profile opened many doors for him, he wrote two books under the pseudonym OCriador and participated in several TV and radio programs in Brazil, which gave the profile a lot of reach and followers. The biggest names in Brazilian journalism, politics and the artistic sector follow him, even Lula, president of Brazil.

“Over the last 5 or 6 years I started talking a lot about web3, blockchain and cryptos on my profile, which attracted many followers in the segment, even CZ started following me,” he says.

Next we asked if he was a gamer?

I’ve always played video games since I was a child. At home, I have a Playstation and Nintendo Switch. I collect old video games, I have Atari, Gameboy, even an arcade at home…

When I was young, I worked at a gaming portal and was a writer for a video game magazine (Revista Gamers Playstation).

Games have been present throughout my life, today I’m playing the new Zelda, the game’s physics is something never seen in history. I’m loving.

Where did you hear about Upland? Had you played Upland before the airdrops competition?

A long time ago! I made a test account last year, but ended up losing my visa and resources because I didn’t log in for some time. (Leo laughs at this point) In fact, I think the OCRIADOR account is mine and I no longer have access to it. I had to make a new OCRIADORBR.

Now, when I heard about the new farming, I saw that it was a good opportunity to join again and I made a new account connecting with my Twitter.

What made you decide to enter?

I’ve been testing a lot of metaverses over the last few years. I tested Ertha, StarAtlas and, of course, also Upland. I have assets in all of them.

The airdrop opportunity made me go all in on Upland and choose this to be my definitive metaverse.

Who has never dreamed of owning the world? With my 40+ Sparks maybe I can get there! (again Leo laughs)

Was it hard to learn all about Upland in such a short time?

I’m currently building! I first want to reach 10 properties in different countries. I’m very close.

Then, I want to buy all the properties I’ve ever lived in, if I can. I want to own the places that I have fond memories of, it would be a great personal achievement.

There are 8 properties in 3 different cities I would like to buy for that reason.

Where the other players helpful?

I am being very well received and there is a group of people helping me a lot. In return, I leave some Sparks on his property as a gesture of gratitude. I’ve met a lot of cool people on the official Discord, on the project’s Brazilian Discord and on Twitter.

Of course, there are people who are a little jealous that I received so many Sparks in the airdrop. But that’s okay, it’s part of the game! I think one of the concerns from the community is that I could sell everything on the token launch and drop the price. But this is not my goal . I want to build in the game.

Tell me some of the steps you undertook to win the prize?

Of course, having 3 million followers I had an advantage, but I also invited a lot of people to Upland with my link, I actively participated in the mechanics and I posted a lot about the project.

In fact, next week I will do a live Spaces with Mucida.eth from the UplandBR channel to exchange experiences and also draw 20 Sparks to rent for the community.

We are working together to bring Upland’s message to many more people and I want to build with the project in any way I can.

What was the hardest task?

It will certainly convince people to create an account on Upland. My audience is largely web2 and so convincing them about the metaverse and web3 is a daily and consistent process.

What was the easiest task?

Definitely give RT. Just press a button, right? The difficult part is making your RT reach millions of people.

It’s been consistent work for this since 2008, when I joined Twitter.

How much did you win?

41.6 Sparks and a lot of new friends.

What will you spend it on?

I feel like a builder.

In addition to lending Sparks to friends and raffling off rent for the community, I’m also helping MATHILDA STUDIOS. I put 19 SPARKS to speed up a small factory in Rio de Janeiro, which is close to one of my properties.

Will you stay on Upland?

People are asking me this a lot. If I’m going to dump $20,000 into Sparklets at TGE. I told them that I left my answer mysteriously at my house. Who will be the first to find out? Just visit and check out what I am doing at my home address in Upland: AVENIDA PADRE ANTONIO JOSE DOS SANTOS, 1713 – SAO PAULO, SP

I want to learn more about the game and interact with the community. I’ve tried other games before trying to find my metaverse and I think now I have found my ultimate metaverse. This combination Upland proposes blending web2 and web3, virtual mapping real word is something I haven’t seen yet, with a very friendly interface.

What are you farming now?

I’ve been bitten by the bug, I farmed $PORTAL. And for now I’m farming $ZENT
