Rhiannon Fletcher – Blockchain and BDSM / #BodybyCrypto

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Rhiannon Fletcher is an American teacher and writer living and working in Thailand for more than ten years.  She works for a crypto marketing company, WinPlay, by day but is writing an introductory book on BDSM for beginners by night. The book was inspired by a young man asking her out. He was around 19 and Rhiannon is 42.

“I really quizzed him on why he was asking me out – was it on his bucket list perhaps? No, he said. He had been asked by quite a few girls for the ‘Christian Grey’ experience and while he wanted to make them happy, he didn’t want to hurt any of them. He liked them.”

I should backtrack and say Rhiannon had used Tinder to find an audience for her book on BDSM – in her profile she explained she was looking for research assistants and to her initial surprise she got a lot of replies. This particular young man’s interest changed the direction of her book from a general lifestyle explainer to a how-to BDSM for beginners. In fact, she reckons there is a whole series of BDSM 101 books.

Rhiannon’s adventure into blockchain and crypto began back in 2017 where she was asked to translate ICO whitepapers into 1500-word articles that could be easily understood. She was part paid in crypto and soon had amassed enough crypto in five months to pay for life changing surgery. Wait, stop the clock, what was that about?

Well, Rhiannon once weighed 167 kilos (26 stone) at her heaviest. She subsequently embarked on a major weight loss, body reshaping programme which was working. At the time she started writing for the Kucoin exchange she had lost 90 kilos which had also resulted in her tall frame supporting a lot of loose skin.

“I needed total body transformation surgery and now I had enough crypto assets to pay for it – I did the whole transformation online using the hashtag bodybycrypto.”

Rhiannon had the loose skin removed from her arms, stomach and back, a full belt tummy tuck and finally breast reconstruction and augmentation. Today as a regular gym bunny she posts pictures of her workouts showing off her hard earned new physique.

Asked if she is happy with her new body, her reply is emphatic. “God yes, they removed 2.2kilos of loose skin and I am very happy with my body now.”

It’s been two and a half years since the weight-loss and body reconstruction surgery but she finds maintaining the weight lose relatively straightforward. It surely is a bodybycrpto and hard work.

From being a freelance writer explaining the ICO projects Rhiannon was hired full time. Between December and May, she wrote at least 50 articles. She also began to dabble in lifestyle writing.

“12 years ago my marriage ended. I was living in Hawaii at the time and began experimenting sexually. The BDSM community was pretty strong there and I found it to be very therapeutic for me, healing in fact. I worked through a lot of issues and I am a strong believer that exploring your kinks is good for everyone.”

Fast forward to her growing community of BDSM followers and researchers; Rhiannon has even done some personal coaching for couples which is going very well.

“I am an educator and I think it’s important to help people understand BDSM – there can be some risks and also there are rules – it’s important to know both so that people can explore their sexuality in a safe manner.”

Rhiannon then started making videos of her solo play which she emailed to her growing community. Her drop box filled up very quickly and so she asked her followers if anyone could help her build a website.

“Then someone suggested Onlyfans – a content subscription site and so I thought, why not?”

Onlyfans.com is used mostly by sex workers but also personal trainers, chefs, musicians and other content creators. Fans subscribe to view the content. Rhiannon posts every day and admits her content is triple X. High profile OnlyFan artists have made millions of dollars over the past four years. More recently Bella Thorne, model, actor and director, joined OnlyFans and made $1million in under 24 hours in August. Bella had previously directed an adult, award-winning film for Pornhub. Her arrival on OnlyFans had been accompanied by promises of nude pictures but instead lingerie shots were used which caused some controversy. Afterwards she promised the money would be donated to charitable causes. Back in February model and self-styled naked philanthropist Kaylen Ward raised $1 million to support the wild bushfires in Australia. In this case, OnlyFans entered into their first charitable partnership.

To date, Rhiannon is gaining one or two new followers every day and while she is not a top earner, she has already made several thousand dollars in a few weeks. She is naturally delighted.

Back to her day job – Winplay is a fast-growing company, with more than 500,000 engaged users looking to win crypto. “We gamify the tasks so that crypto companies can produce really targeted campaigns and the top performers win real crypto. It’s a win win for everyone.”

The WinPlay directors are also very supportive of her side hustles and have promised to put her on their platform when she has more followers.

However, even with someone with as much energy as Rhiannon, putting in 80-hour days is tough and she is due a holiday. But she is a tour de force and I suggest you watch this space.
