As a part of our series covering NFT Artists in the spotlight we are delighted to interview Boudoir & nude fine art photographer, Bambii. View some of her amazing work here.
Can you tell us a story about what brought you to the world of NFTs?
I discovered the NFT world through PFP projects, and my curiosity led me to investigate whether artists also present and sell their works as NFTs. I decided to give a chance to something new and challenging because I wanted to convey the story of a positive attitude towards the body and the connection between humans and nature.
My mission to follow people on their part to self-love was so strong that I had to try presenting this idea and my point of view to a broader audience than just in Croatia. Considering the conservative society in which I live, it was somehow logical that I present my works in an environment that is more open to a healthier view of the world and body and oriented towards progress. From day to day, I was there on Twitter, writing about my path, positive self-esteem, and nude art photography, where I was accepted and had an opportunity to connect with like-minded people. Even though our paths, expression, and art style differ, we are on a mission to make this world a better place where love and acceptance rule everything.
What or who inspired you to pursue your career as an artist?
As a child, I was always impressed with art. Whether it was dancing, music, or drawing, I admired artists and their creations. What I liked the most was the opportunity to create and interpret a piece based on how you feel and what you see. Art is more like a reflection of ourselves. Everything you are and you wish to be, you can live and convey through art. I love art as a means of expression because you can tell a complex and deep story without many words. All you need to do is feel.
My path led me to photography, where I found my true self and an opportunity to express my inner life and feelings. Photography is a safe place for my thoughts, feelings, and wishes. Since this type of art helped me gain confidence and become stronger, I decided to start doing boudoir and nude art photography to help others embrace themselves and feel free and loved in their skin. As a big nature lover, creating art in nature is what sets me free.
What are some of the most interesting or exciting NFT projects you are working on now?
I am currently testing how the market is breathing, and I decided to make a roadmap for every upcoming project and shooting. I am looking for ideal locations that I would like to use for shooting. I plan to make a series of self-portraits in nature with background stories. As always, I want to combine nature and humans and tell a story about personal growth, self-love, and freedom.
Magic happens when we decide to free ourselves by being vulnerable and honest. I combine nude art and nature because it is one of the most beautiful forms of freedom we can experience. Nature is beautiful in itself, and man is even more beautiful when he is happy and fulfilled.

Was there a time when you did not believe in yourself? How did this impact your choices?
I was discouraged when facing a journey into the unknown and did not have a vision of where I was going and what outcomes awaited me. When I feel and notice that thoughts sabotage me, I change my focus to positive situations and outcomes and move forward. Standing still does not bring results, as does overthinking.
So, how are things going today? What is your recipe for success?
I learned that there are only good results with effort, work, and persistence. I also learned that getting out of our comfort zone is necessary to reach a better place and experience opportunities that make us better people. No one recipe for the path to success applies to each of us. Instead, we must create our own foundations and our approach to success and happiness. All we need to do is decide and improve along the way. The key is in action and trying again and again. To believe and be positive about your idea is not enough. You have to work smart and hard to achieve anything.
Can you share a story about a mistake you made when you first entered the NFT space?
I admit that I have made many mistakes due to a lack of information. For example, I set the wrong prices for pieces; I used one wallet for each marketplace, etc. Most of us learned everything through the mistakes we made. Preparation is half the job done, so I advise everyone to educate themselves and study all available materials before entering the NFT world. Blockchain remembers all your mistakes.
Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?
Without a plan, there is no success. It is good to take time to learn, think, plan, decide, and then act according to your plan. If you don’t know how to do something on your own, don’t be shy to ask someone who knows how. Web3 is all about the community, and people will gladly offer help.
Which tips would you recommend to NFT artists starting out?
Consistency is the key, especially when there will be no feedback and sales, like in a bear market. Remember, being an NFT artist is like running a marathon, not a sprint.
Do not rely only on earnings from NFTs. Have a steady income, and have NFTs as a side gig. No one can guarantee you success overnight.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
If I had to single out one person who was the biggest support and help in my business journey and development as a person, it is my husband. Since I work in a specific niche, boudoir and nude art photography, I am more than happy to have the support of someone who sees an opportunity and possibility for success and progress in everything. Without him, I’m not sure I would have the strength to stay consistent and look on the bright side when there are heavy days or situations. He is the wind on my back and always there to be a voice of wisdom.
What are your “3 things I wish someone told me before I minted my first NFT,” and why?
Make a roadmap, use different wallets for every marketplace, and stay focused on the future. Also, have a ledger.
To have a plan and make a roadmap means you have a path to follow. Planning collections, editions, and tweets in advance is important, so we can more easily follow the path to success. Chaos and unexpected actions are good while creating art, but not in marketing and business.
Using different wallets for marketplaces is good, so your minted and collected works are organized and not all in one place. Unfortunately, only one scammer is enough to lose everything you have been building for months.
Focus on the future and build your brand. People love those who are consistent, provide value, and are there for the community. What you give is what you get.
Can you tell our readers what it is about the work you’re doing that’s disruptive?
When I work on creative projects other than self-portraits, finding an adequate model that fits the story I want to convey can be challenging. I want more artists and models to join the NFT world because collaborations would be easier, and the works could reach more people. When you have more than one people market and talk about the same piece in front of their audience, it can for sure make more interest in your story and projects.
In your opinion, what are the biggest challenges faced by artists and the NFT industry today?
The biggest challenge is to find an audience in the sea of artists and offers. It is a must to have an active audience that supports the work in any way. It is also challenging to stay consistent when there is a bear market.
The next challenge is people’s distrust. The justified reason is frequent scams. Another reason is the lack of adequate information about the NFT world and the opinion that there are only people who buy JPEGs for insane amounts of money. Like we say in Web3: We are still early.
How can our readers collect your art or follow you online?
I am active on Twitter and Instagram, writing my thoughts and ideas daily. I’ll be more than happy to connect with them on social media and share some thoughts. They are very welcome to follow and shoot a DM.
For collectors, my works can be viewed and purchased on Opensea and Foundation. These two marketplaces are my focus for now, but maybe I’ll expand my offer to other chains and marketplaces in the future.
