On Tuesday 5th December 2023, more than 100 web3 enthusiasts, CEOs and founders were in attendance at The Ivy, Manchester, to support Stand With Crypto’s mission of cryptocurrency adoption and regulation.
Focusing on harnessing blockchain technology, guests scanned NFT tickets distributed by M1NTY, gaining access to the event which featured giveaways, networking and speeches from notable figureheads.
Chief Policy Officer at Coinbase, Faryar Shirzad, talked about the importance of being able to ‘solve society’s problems through the blockchain, as a societal force’.
Also in attendance was Lisa Cameron MP, Chairperson of the Crypto and Digital Assets All-Party Parliamentary Group, supporting Stand With Crypto.
‘This is a digital generation. We need to make sure we have the guardrails in place to keep it safe and provide the educational building blocks. We can only continue work through collaboration.’ she said.
Organiser of the Manchester Blockchain Alliance and Co-founder of Web3 Design Agency Avark, Ian Cox, hailed Manchester as a ‘special, unique community full of innovation and people wanting to learn’.
‘For Coinbase to recognise us shows that, as a community, we are doing the right things. I am excited to see how the partnership develops in the next year.’ He said.
