Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has officially launched its NFT marketplace out of beta testing, supporting over 250 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) across the Ethereum, Solana and Polygon blockchains.
They shared the news on their official blog today stating that they have “…long understood that the communities behind the NFTs are often even more significant than the collectibles themselves. That’s why we’ve been curating many of the most active NFT collections the market has to offer.”

Since launching the Beta version of the marketplace in November, it has expanded from supporting an initial 70 NFT collections on only Ethereum and Solana to the inclusion on Polygon today.
Focusing on inclusivity and affordability
As part of its launch, the platform has pledged to include not only blue-chip projects like CryptoPunks and Bored Ape Yacht Club, but also more affordable collections that can be bought for under $100.
Kraken have done their research on the market. They understand that gas fees can be a barrier for NFT collectors. With this in mind they have eliminated gas fees for buying and selling on the platform.
Users have the choice to pay in fiat or cryptocurrency and listings will have built-in rarity rankings.
In addition to this announcement they have announced a partnership with F1 racing team Williams Racing in the form of a real life activation: “In partnership with the Williams Racing Formula 1 team, we will be announcing details on how you can win the opportunity to feature your favorite NFT on the rear wing of an F1 car during a race this year. If you are interested in seeing your NFT flying around the track at 200 mph, now is the time to get started with Kraken NFT.”
