Flare Reaches New ATH Driven by 510 million Emissions Program

Flare Network, a rapidly growing blockchain platform with over 1 million wallets created, has reached an all-time high in total value locked (TVL) to $13.64m according to DeFi Llama as of today.

The surge in TVL is largely attributed to the launch of Flare’s ambitious 510 million FLR DeFi emissions program, which has been embraced by the community and promises to increase liquidity, dapp development, and overall network participation.

The FLR DeFi emissions program, approved through community governance, is designed to incentivize the injection of deep liquidity into the network, particularly in stablecoins, FLR, and ETH.

This move is crucial as Flare prepares for the upcoming launch of FAssets—a trustless bridge that will enable non-smart contract assets like Bitcoin (BTC), XRP, and Dogecoin (DOGE) to be utilized within Flare’s DeFi ecosystem.

By providing substantial rewards to liquidity providers, Flare is positioning itself as a major player in the DeFi space, with the goal of attracting assets from other blockchain networks.

The program will see an initial distribution of 510 million FLR tokens, part of Flare’s 20 billion FLR incentive pool, allocated to select DeFi protocols and liquidity pools.

These emissions are set to increase over time as more protocols and pools join the program, ensuring that the Flare ecosystem continues to expand and attract new users. Dapp users can claim their FLR emissions monthly via the Flare Portal, where their rewards will vest over a 12-month period, gradually converting into Wrapped Flare (WFLR) tokens.

Several dapps have already integrated with the emissions program, including SparkDEX and BlazeSwap, two decentralized exchanges that offer a wide range of liquidity pools. Other dapps, such as Kinetic, a lending and borrowing protocol, have also joined the ecosystem, with more on the way, including Enosys and Raindex.

As Flare continues to build out its DeFi ecosystem, the availability of deep liquidity will be essential for maintaining the stability and security of the network.

The success of Flare’s emissions program marks a significant milestone in the network’s evolution. With a robust and growing DeFi ecosystem, Flare is well-positioned to attract more users and assets, further solidifying its place as a leading blockchain platform.
