The blockchain organizations The Giving BlockSatstreet & Pioneer Club are hosting a charity (online) poker tournament to fight the coronavirus on 9 April 2020.

The event, dubbed Crypto vs. COVID, invites up to 2,000 players to compete for 50 percent of the proceeds, with the other half being donated to participating charities. Tickets are available for $100.

Crypto celebrities such as Litecoin founder Charlie Lee, CNBC’s Ran NeuNer, and trading expert Tone Vays have already confirmed their participation.

“With our upcoming poker event, the #cryptoCOVID19 alliance aims to spread awareness and encourage individuals and businesses to join the fight,” comments Chris Spadafora, Director of Pioneer Club.
