Two weeks ago, I was deep into my routine, immersed in building in web3, experiencing the highest level of happiness and contentment.
At that moment, I made a decision to pack up my things and fly to a new city where I hardly knew anyone. Why? While I could have continued living the life I had for a long time, I pondered the possibility of a better life elsewhere. What if there were more opportunities waiting for me?
In my mid-20s, I have the luxury in this generation to explore, or as I like to call it, ‘escape comfort.’
This may or may not work out, but one thing is certain—I’m going to learn a lot about myself by putting myself out there. Failing and learning is all I can ask for!”
I’m here to share that after spending a month in Dubai as a web3 founder, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made this year. Let me explain why.
New Mindset
In Dubai, I discovered that almost everyone thinks bigger and believes more is possible. Specifically in web3, builders focus on solutions rather than just discussing problems.
In-Person Connections Over Online Connections
Physical meetings with your network can establish stronger relationships. A 20-minute in-person conversation often surpasses a year of virtual interaction.
Crypto-Friendly Environment
Dubai is crypto-friendly, with social acceptance for its use as a means of payment or other applications. If you’re crypto-rich and looking to fund your lifestyle, Dubai is an ideal place.
Bull Market Vibes
Attending events in Dubai, I find it hard to believe there’s a bear market. Conferences are brimming with builders and positivity about the future of the space.
Continuous Learning
Being around the right people in the right environment allows for continuous learning. I may sound like a motivational business trainer, but the amount you can learn in person surpasses online learning. I thought I knew a lot about web3, but being here has shown me how little I knew.
Welcoming Community
The web3 scene in Dubai is incredibly welcoming. Almost everyone is in a similar position—expats seeking opportunities.
